Restore files made in mode Mirror backup.
The restore function works only for a backup made with type 'Mirror backup'. For the zipped backups
you need an external ZIP program. The restore function works in a similair way as the backup function.
The user can select directories and/or files to restore, the backup should have been made by idlebackup in
mode2 or mode 3, see description below. So first locate on the backup disk the backup path where the
desired directories and/or files are placed. The current path is also shown on the bottom line of the backup
screen. (e.g E:\HD_C)
- Mode2 backup set, this will always start with text 'HD_X', where X= source hard-disk.
Select one or more files or directories, in the example H:\HD_G\Idlebackup116 is selected.
This will be restored to G:\Delphi
- Mode3 backup set, included in the path is here the computer name where the backup is
made from, in this example 'PC110\HD_X'. It is not allowed to select E:\PC110 directly,
but only a subset of it, see the picture.
In this mode3 example the directory \Ebooks is about to be restored to G:\
This is the original location. You also restore to another location, see the picture
It is not possible to select E:\PC110 completely but only subdirectories and or files.
Press 'Restore' to start the restore action. During copying the user is asked if existing files
and/or directories may be overwritten. Press Cancel or No if you don't want that. Press Yes or All to continue.
If files are restored from a network, the same procedure can be followed, select files and/or
directories and press restore.
