Usage examples

E-mail Print PDF

- Idlebackup can make a backup of specific directories, such as photos, mp3s, documents to an in- or external harddisk, memory stick or network. If mode automatic is on, see checkmark 'automatic on', then all new or changed files will be automatically backed up to the selected medium ! So set it and forget it.

- If your memory stick is your master, because you use it on multiple computers, it is also possible to make the backup from stick to harddisk frequently, for example each 15 minutes. If something is lost or wiped out on your stick, you still have your backup on the harddisk.

There should be at least 2 files. Select the directory Outlook and make a manual backup.

If needed, with the restore function you can restore the directory within a few seconds.
Of course I can't give any garantee.
You could test it by first making a backup with idlebackup.
Also copy manually the directory Outlook to a save place.
Then delete the original files within Outlook (2 files). Try to restore it with idlebackup.
IF something goes wrong you still have the saved directory to manually restore the files
